  Nicekicksshop focus continues to zero in on all of the trends that have made their way into 2021 and will enter the spotlight in the coming months. In fact, we recently showcased a smattering of shoe trends that are having a moment this season. Today, we thought we’d spend some time discussing 2021 sneaker trends specifically. After all, trainers are often one of the go-to shoe silhouettes in many of our wardrobes.

  To showcase the trends that will have an impact this year, we turned to the feeds of some of our favorite fashion follows to uncover those noteworthy styles. Some of the styles in question have already been staples and will only increase in popularity, while others might be newer for some. 1. Perfectkicks Jordan 1 Retro High White University Blue 

  Jordan Brand paid homage to MJ’s alma mater with the Air Jordan 1 High University Blue. The University Blue colorway is prominent in the Jordan 1’s history. The first UNC-inspired Jordan 1 dates back to 1985 when the Jordan 1 debuted. Since then, there have been numerous iterations of the UNC 1, most recently the Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless UNC To Chicago. Jumpman is building off of its past and switching it up this week with a new iteration.

   Jordan Brand continued their Black Toe design theme in 2020 and released the Jordan 1 High Dark Mocha, now available on StockX. The Dark Mocha 1 was one of the most anticipated releases in 2020 due to its familiar colorblocking that referenced two of the greatest Jordan 1s of all-time, the Jordan 1 Travis Scott and the Jordan 1 Black Toe.

A new set of waves are rolling in as the adidas Yeezy Wave Runner 700s get ready for their first restock on March 10th, 2018. First releasing in November of 2017, the Yeezy Boost 700’s represented what was a significant shift in Kanye’s design aesthetic, moving from the minimalistic silhouettes of early Yeezy seasons to this chunky runner model. It once again showed how Kanye stays ahead of the curve, as chunkier sneakers became more en vogue in 2018.
