Errolson Hugh, the founder of ACRONYM®, is unparalleled for his attention to functionality and the way he combines functionality and fashion to create high-tech styles. For his latest collaboration with Nike, Hugh chose the classic Blazer low-top as a starting point for a practical, easy-to-wear fit. The shoe features the ACRONYM® exclusive logo on the tongue, lining and heel. Camouflaged ACRONYM® branding throughout the sneaker complements the Blazer Low-Top's unique shape and stance. The camouflage-inspired ballistic nylon upper is laser-cut for a creative vision that wanted to create an edgy style. In addition, this is the first time a Blazer low-top shoe has been paired with Hugh's two removable TPU heel stabilizer panels and identification plate, which can be freely configured to suit your personal style, adding a futuristic twist to a Nike classic.

The actual construction is not far off from the mock-up. At the counter, the silhouette is reinforced in mech-like fashion, its white and volt molds true to Hugh’s signature design ethos. Forward, things are just a bit more streamlined as the shape is sleek through the rest of the shoe. But at certain points, the paneling is meticulously distressed with incisions strewn about the side and toe, revealing a bright white layer underneath. Moreover, the tongue label is branded with a chaotic graphic that ostensibly translates to “ACRNM METAL.” The ACRONYM x Nike Blazer Low “Black” is a new design of sneakers.
